A Great Start to 2020!

Dear Families,

We had a wonderful first week back in Huckleberry North. Some kids returned a little bit taller, with fewer teeth, or shorter hair, but they all arrived ready to learn. Winter is a magnificent time in first and second grade. Consolidation of learning is happening across the board. It really is exciting to see how much each child is growing and learning!

Abstract Self-Portraits in the style of Cubism. Pablo Picasso was one of the founders of this style of art.

Friday we began our new thematic unit on The Human Body. Next week we will be thinking about the building blocks, cells. The Huckleberries will be thinking about what each cell has in common, and how are different cells have specialized jobs.

Human Body Pre-Assessments. What do you already know?

Reminders:

* Coats and Boots: Winter weather is upon us, please ensure your child has appropriate clothing for outside.

* No School: Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday, January 20th

Best,

Ms. Fety
