Double Preparations: The Human Body Museum and The Spring Music Program
The Huckleberries are getting ready for their end of unit celebration! They will be curating a Human Body Museum with exhibits, experiments, and written work to share their new knowledge with their guests. All are invited. It will be Tuesday, March 17th with the doors opening at 2:30 pm. If an adult is unable to attend, please let me know so I can ensure a sibling or buddy can come tour the museum. Hope you all can make it!
This Friday, March 13th is the Spring Music Program! As you all know, Friday is a shortened school day. Kids will be released at 12:55. The program will be held at Molalla River High School. Please drop off your student between 6:30 and 6:45. The doors to the auditorium will also open at 6:30 pm.
The Huckleberries have been working incredibly hard to be ready for this performance. It will be a magnificent evening for all.
Today we have a visit from the school nurse to talk about healthy habits. While these are familiar, it is also a great reminder during this cold and flu season. As she explained, these are things kids can do all the time to be strong and healthy:
* get plenty or rest - sleep heals
* make healthy food choices - colorful fruits and veggies, quality protein
* exercise - play outside, take swim lessons
* drink lots of water - bodies require lots of water
* cover your cough and sneezes - with your "bat wing" elbow
* wash your hands - soap and warm water is best
Calm and clear, it was wonderful to have our district nurse listen to the student's comments and answer any questions.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these upcoming events.
