End of the Year *Virtual* Events

Dear Families,

Before we go into the long weekend, I just wanted to send out a few notes as we are now on our last two weeks of school:

  • End of the Year Celebratory Conferences:

    • June 1st - June 4th with morning to evening time slots.

The focus will be on reflection, summer support, and a chance to connect and answer any questions. If you have not yet signed up, here is the link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0c48aeaa28a1fb6-mraconferences2

  • Writing Celebrations Monday, June 1st:

    • 1st Grade Author's Chair: Monday, June 1st 11:00 am

    • 2nd Grade Poetry Party: Monday, June 1st 9:30 am

The first graders will have an "Author's Chair" while the second graders will have a "Poetry Party". These virtual events will be a time where the Huckleberries can share their published writing with their classmates. While these are optional, all are encouraged to join if they can so they have a chance to share their hard work and hear some supportive comments from their classmates. Links will be shared next week.

  • Chess Celebration:

    • Tuesday, June 2nd at 9:30 am

Second graders are invited to join Mr. Fety and I on Tuesday, June 2nd to play chess. Huckleberries will get a chance to show off their collective skills to challenge Mr. Fety in games of virtual chess. Link will be shared next week.

  • Report Cards:

These spring report cards reflect student engagement in the work of Distance Learning at MRA, rather than specific skills. If anyone has any questions about our pass/incomplete report cards, please email me. In these gray times, my goal is to be as clear as possible with what information I have to offer. I hope all enjoy what might be a sunny Memorial Day weekend. my best, Ms. Fety
