Salmon Field Trip and Informance

Dear Families,

Our Animal Migration unit is coming to a close. This means the Huckleberries are preparing for our end of unit celebrations. We will be celebrating with a field trip to release the salmon we have been watching grow in the classroom and with an informance.

Field Trip

Willamette Park, West Linn

Tuesday, December 17th

Depart MRA at 10 am and return by 1 pm

Parents will be driving students to Willamette Park where they will release the salmon into the Willamette River and then have lunch. Both Huckleberry North and South will be going on this field trip together. We have just about enough drivers. However, the more the merrier. If you are interested in joining, please email me with how many seats you have available for students.

The alevin are not yet graceful swimmers.

Informance

MRA Wildwoods (gym)

Tuesday, December 17th

2 pm

Informance = information + performance. Together, all the Huckleberry students are putting on a performance to share what they have learned about animal migration, movement, music, and artful lines. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the field trip or the informance.

My best,

-Ms. Fety
