Sunshine for the week ahead!!

Dear South Huckleberry Families,

I hope you are well and finding enjoyment in family during this time. I realized, just this weekend, that we are coming down the home stretch for this school year. A month from Tuesday will be our students’ last day of school. This is certainly one for the record books!

I know schooling at home is very challenging for families. That being said, I am constantly amazed by what I see and how much students are learning. For example, writing can be particularly challenging to do at home. Taking lessons presented on video and working to implement skills being taught, is no easy task. Yet, I have continually seen some wonderful writing and skills are growing!

Starting this week, we will be replacing writing on Wednesday with art. Please be sure to have materials needed for the project present at the start of the video. This should be an enjoyable change for students and parents alike, while still full of wonderful learning.

In the week ahead, I’m opening up more time to meet with students/parents. This time is available if your child is struggling with working at home, emotionally needing support because of all of the changes going on, or just wanting to read something to me, I’m available to talk and help with school work. Parents, that includes you, too! Don’t hesitate to sign up if you need some support. We are all in this together.

Throughout the day I am working and usually available to answer emails. If you run into a problem on an assignment, send me an email and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Check out the four pictures below of how home learning looks for the South Huckleberries and have a great week!
