Before & Aftercare Cost Information

Molalla River Academy (MRA) calculates Before Care (BC) and Aftercare (AC) usage by totaling all hours used per student each month. Based on the total monthly hours, families are billed according to the tiers below:

Monthly Billing Tiers (Per Student):

• 0.5 – 4.5 hours: $25

• 4.51 – 9.5 hours: $75

• 9.51 – 14.5 hours: $125

• 14.51 – 19.5 hours: $175

• 19.51 – 24.5 hours: $225

• 24.51 – 29.5 hours: $275

• 29.51+ hours: $325

Additional Information:

• A 10% discount is applied for families with two or more students enrolled in Before/Aftercare.

• There is no charge for the following time windows:

  • Morning: 7:30–8:00 a.m.

  • Afternoon: 3:00–3:30 p.m.

Please note that all billing is based on total combined Before and Aftercare time per student each month.

Suppy and Activities Fees

As a charter school, MRA receives only 85% of the funding that a traditional public school receives. Therefore, in addition to fundraising efforts that take place at MRA to offset those costs, specialized program fees are collected to help sustain various curriculum programs.

The current Enrichment/Activity fee is $260.00 per student (K–8) annually. We also assess an $85.00 supply fee in lieu of asking families to purchase school supplies. This fee covers your child’s basic classroom supplies for the year.

Activity fees cover, but are not limited to:

Soft cover yearbook
Field trips
Class activities
Supplies for Integrated Arts, STEM, Garden, Music, and PE programs
School assemblies
 

Supply fees are non-refundable and are due in full upon registration (September 8, 2026). Activity fees are due by September 30, 2026, unless a monthly payment plan has been formally arranged in advance. Families who anticipate difficulty meeting these deadlines are expected to communicate with the school office prior to the due dates.

Activity fees may be prorated if a student leaves the school before the end of the academic year.

Statements will be emailed no later than the 20th of each month, beginning in September.
