Welcome 5th Grade Families,
Our class motto for 2020-21 is going to be #awesome_year. I want to really help each other point out and appreciate the many opportunities that digital learning will present in the months to come. While nothing replicates the face to face interaction of real school, I'm genuinely optimistic about the unique connections we will be able to make as a class.
I would like to take this time to let you know that I will do my best to be empathetic and patient with your child. I ask that you also keep these same two words in mind when interacting with the educators at MRA. Everyone of us cares deeply about the scholastic and emotional growth of our students and we are all here for both you and your child during this unusual time.
I would like to invite all of you to sign up for a "Family Connection" time next week. These are optional 20-30 minute virtual meetings that will help me get a clearer picture of both you and your child. I can also answer any tech questions, as well as any other concerns. If none of the available time slots fit your schedule, do not hesitate to contact me and we will make something work. It is my hope that these meetings will also help your students create some short and long term goals.
