The time has come...

Dear South Huckleberry Families,

The time has come to release the fry (baby salmon). Our field trip takes place on Tuesday. If you have been cleared to drive, please be present at 9:30 to ensure your paperwork has been cleared and you have time to install car seats. We will be leaving promptly at 10:00. While at the park, we will release the fry, eat lunch and play in the park. The students are so excited about this trip. All eyes have been on the growing fish and they can’t wait to release them into the river. Our planned return will be around 1:00.

Please stick around after the field trip for our 2:00 informance about migration (or go get a cup of coffee, warm-up and come back). Our informance will take place in the gym and last about 15 minutes. If you aren’t able to go on the field trip, we hope you’ll come to the informance. All students are participating. Don’t be late or you might miss this presentation that includes music, dance and information about migration.

On Friday the school will join together for a holiday sing-along. Students look forward to this event every year. We’d love to have you join us in the gym as we sing our hearts out and welcome in the holidays. In the afternoon, at about 2:10, we will be looking forward to our class Flop-and-Read holiday party. Come read with your child and their friends \

and share some of your favorite holiday books. Treats will be served. It will be a great way to end two VERY busy weeks AND begin our winter break.

It should be a wonderful week!
